Dworld Underwear Party is back!

DANIEL NARDICIO ANNOUNCES 1000 th PARTY with Dworld Underwear Party at Rebel Nightclub featuring $1,000 Money Drop Daniel Nardicio, recently hailed by The Village Voice as the “Best Gay Party Promoter” in New York City, celebrates his 1000th party with a huge celebration at Rebel Nightclub on Sunday, Feb 17th (President’s Day Weekend). Nardicio and company will present their Dworld Underwear Party in conjunction with Undergear.com. Continuing in the vein of his Fire Island Dworld underwear parties, hailed by Fleshbot as “the most amazing weekly event in the world,” Nardicio will once again feature his muse and nightlife celebrity Will Wikle, of Big Brother fame, and Glammy winning special guest host and drag kook Thorgy Thor. The Dworld Underwear Party at Rebel will feature visuals by renowned videographer Marco Ovando and Neddershred, DN’s signature Go Go boys, plus underwear giveaways by Undergear. Nardicio will use this event as an opportunity to announce his Summer 2013 sponsors for his Fire Island events, including Undergear and Guyspy. Spinning the event will be Nardicio’s favorite DJ’s who have been with him from the beginning. “I got Sammy Jo (Scissor Sister tour DJ) in from Barcelona, because he and I started out together. Nita Aviance (Westgay), because we did a hugely successful party “High Life/Low Life” at The Slide for 3 years, Jon Jon Battles (Westgay, The Ritz), who DJ’d Country at my party “She Haw” for years, and Johnny Dynell (Van Dam), who has been with me along the entire path of debauchery” Nardicio breaks down. “ I cannot believe it’s been 1000 parties, concerts, live radio broadcasts and shows. I love New York and am proud and thrilled to be part of it’s nightlife infrastructure,” he continues. In the last 12 years, Nardicio has managed to create a huge following for his events, which started at The Slipper Room in 2000. He then opened the hugely successful Slide Bar in 2002, and from there became VP of Marketing for Playgirl magazine, succeeding in getting Levi Johnston to pose for the skin rag breathing life into the then tired brand. At the same time he started a campaign to invigorate the sleepy hamlet of Cherry Grove, Fire Island, and has succeeded in making the destination a happening destination for gay travelers with his weekly underwear parties and Icon Series shows, which feature talent as notable as Liza Minnelli, Alan Cumming or Margaret Cho.
