Marie's Crisis

(100 Ratings)
Home of show tunes

Come here for a show or a casual performance down in the basement bar. This is the place to pick up that cute aspiring actor/singer/dancers. It doubles as the place to get sloppy and pretend you're in the chorus of HAIR.

I feel like SINGING!

A really fun and friendly piano bar. Great crowd. Lots of loud singing. Bring friends. Great for bringing your girlfriends.

An old fun show-song loving queen bar has been overtaken by straight women, and some straight-ish guys. I would not even list this as a gay bar any more. Overpriced drinks.

A joy and treasure

What a gem! A gay showtune piano bar. I've had so much fun here over the years, and had a nice chat with a bartender there after I saw one of the worst shows I've ever seen on Broadway, Lestat, the musical. I turned my niece on to this place and plan to visit again soon!

Great crowd, but know your showtunes!

Marie's Crisis is a terrific piano bar with a friendly crowd that usually includes some seriously talented performers. That said, you'll have a better time here if you know your showtunes - and I'm not just talking standards, either. It can make it hard to get into the spirit of the night. That, and there's only so much Seasons of Love a mere mortal can stand in one night.

Love it but want more

It seems that Marie's Crisis Center is always just wrapping up when i arrive. I come in to a place that feels like home, and then the music wraps and I am back to longing for more. I want to come in sometime when Liza is hanging out by the piano at this lovable dump!
