Fun Bar
This was a fun bar right near the hotel. And the drinks...WOW that was a strong vodka and soda. :-)
Bad smells and rude service!
My main compliant is that the odors from the bathroom travel into the main area of the bar. The patio in the back should be great, but these metal structures were put in to divide the smokers from non smokers, but the powerful smell on the cigarette smoke, and combined with the bathroom odor (and I do mean the smell of urine and intense smell of human crap when the door is open for patrons to go into the back. The drinks aren't bad when you finally get them. While waiting for them I had to deal with the smell. The waiter also seemed bored and made no eye contact with the patrons. He then brought me the wrong drink. When I asked him to bring back the right drink, he rolled his eyes at me. At that point, I just left. Why I didn't leave earlier, I don't know. It you like smells and rudeness, , this place is for you.
Love it!
Almost divey, but cheap and fun, Christian is hilarious and the Luis is a sweetie; great for friends with an open patio in the back - closes "early" to respect neighbors.
Great Place to Start the Night
This place has slowly become one of my favorite gay bars in NYC. It is way less pretentious, very friendly, and has great drink specials/happy hour.Love the exposed brick walls. Sinks and bathrooms are very cool, and clean and music is always fun. A great mixed crowd (old, young, mized races, even women at times). Fantastic place to start the night before going to other bars that will be far more bitchy.
