CLOSED: Xth Ave Lounge

This may be very different on weekends, but the weeknight I was there I just found the place to be a little dull, a lounge with no real character, and it didn't even come off much like a gay bar. Suppose it would be okay to go with friends for some quiet conversation. Doesn't exactly seem like a fun, friendly bar, however. Mixed men and women the night I was there. A bit of a dive, which may be the only thing to recommend it!

This is a good laid back gay bar in hell's kitchen. Lots of hot boys with their hot friends. I like to either start out here or end here, but not for the whole night.

This has been a rather cold, sterile place evey time I've been there. They've got all the 'south beach' design staples but it just doesn't work at this location. I think people WANT to like this place because it's somewhat unique, but read the faces there - not many have having a great time. See for yourself.
