***** Fabulous summer drink specials!
Posted: September 18, 2009
I know we gays love the nightlife, but if you happen to be out and about before dark, Posh can be a great place to go for a happy-hour drink and some nice conversation. It's loungey and cute, and during the day completely quiet. PLUS, $3 frozen cosmos certain days of the week. Who could beat that? Yes, it's crowded and cliquey at night, and we all love that too, but give it a try some afternoon!

***** Nothing special

For some reason a friend always drags me to Posh. I don't like this bar because it's always too crowded. You have to wait in line for a drink, wait in line for the bathroom, and wait in line to pretty much walk.

***** Wrong name, right bar
Posted: February 28, 2008
With a name like Posh I expected this place to be full of piss elegant twentysomethings with their noses in the air. Actually the bartender seemed to be the youngest person there and the median age of the customers was around forty. The decor is nice but not in the least bit "posh," which I guess is the joke. Friendly, convivial bar that on my visit on a Tuesday seemed to have no pretentions or attitude. Liked it! Worth another visit to be sure.

POSH use to be a great place to hang out. It's gone down hill. The place is dirty, decorated with black lights, the bathroom was filty and lacked a door-handle. The waitstaff was rude and we actually caught the bartender watering down our drinks with extra sour mix. We called him on it and he rolled his eyes at us and told the other bartender not to serve us anymore! With Barrage and Therapy only blocks away.. POSH is a great place to skip!

***** Great n'hood place

Fun music, fun crowd, neighborhood feel -- it works. The smallish size of the bar leads to a good amount of mingling. While other HK bars cater to a theater audience, this one is more for those who actually work in theater (or wish they did). The music (often 80's) is interesting and up. It also features a great, very social outdoor smoking patio, as its front, which makes me wish i was a smoker.

***** small, relaxing neighborhood bar

Smaller and quieter than both Therapy and Barrage, this comfortable Hell's Kitchen neighborhood bar is better for meeting up with your friends than meeting new ones.
