What we say
Loud and loungy midtown/theater district spot
How many cute boys can you squeeze into a Hells Kitchen Bar? Some of the best Gay DJs make a weekly visit to this neighborhood staple: stop by, get a good drink, listen to some nice beats, and party with the studs.

I lived on the same block as Barrage, and while it's totally cute inside and always full of cute guys, I rarely went there. The reason: LOUD music. In a lounge atmosphere, I expect to be able to sit and have a drink and chat with friends, but here, even though there's no dance floor, the house/techno music is pumped at full volume, so all you can do is scream at one another. Lots of potential though!

Love the decor and set-up... only been for happy hour, prices were pretty on the level and there's plenty of seats!

Don't make a special trip to this place but if you're in the theater district already, it might make a nice stop with friends. This is a small, comfortable, attractive spot with friendly staff and young (20's - 30's), good-looking customers who are probably approachable after a few drinks. Went early during mid-week and encountered no snottiness at all. The name doesn't really suit the place; at least this night it was pleasantly quiet without being dead.

good space, bar seats and couches, nice mix of guys, a bit dark though especially if you really want to see who you are meeting, though, sometimes i guess, it's better in the dark

And feels a little like the name sake. Get it? Bar + Garage = Barrage. Anyway... Great place to meet for a drink, friendly bartenders & waiters.
