Karma Bar & Hookah Lounge (Closed Permanently)

(12 Ratings)
Puff puff, but definitely don't pass!
Karma bar's cozy cavernous setting is the perfect place to get lost in a cocktail and the aromas of rose, lavender, apple, or whatever flavor Hookah you prefer. Be forewarned, it gets quite smoky. Tuesday is the big gay night, though you're likely to find a homo or seven whenever you stop in.

Smoking allowed

The crowd at this hookah joint is a generally friendly East Village dive bar mix, mostly in their 30's and 40's. There's always a gay guy (or four) at the bar, because it's the only bar in the city that allows smoking indoors. Be forewarned: although there are air filters everywhere, you WILL reek of smoke if you stay long enough.
