I think this place deserves a little credit. The venue is gorgeous, open bar until 11pm (come on!), and packed with guys. On the other hand I can understand being upset at the experiences described in the other reviews. Not everyone I saw there was a pretty-boy, though the crowd definitely skewed towards the lookers. The people I met were all friendly--I'd go back in a heart beat were I not 3,000 miles away!

The poor manners of the doorpeople are truly staggering. I'm really surprised that whoever manages the place would allow the first experience their customers have of it to be high-handed rudeness. I've seen customers handled more pleasantly by TSA screeners at Newark Airport on a holiday weekend. One visit was more than enough, thanks.

The place was whack.Ive had better times at Cielo and Pacha. If you wanna go to a trendy gay lounge that keeps it real,go to Vlada, the Ritz or HK lounge. What a joke this place was and is.

The kind of attitude some people get at the door just isn't done. The earlier reviews are spot on. Don't know who the other guy thinks he needs to be in a room with but I'm not any less hot just because someone less attractive is dancing on the same floor. And who's type is used as the guideline anyway?
Used to go all the time, but too many friends have had bad times.

I also was mocked by the doorman as I walked in, which I was shocked by. It's summer in NYC, and I had shorts and a T-Shirt on. I didn't look sloppy by any means, but he said "You don't look like that when you come to a nightclub." I was appalled, as I have never been spoken to like this at a gay club. Honestly, it is something I would expect at a straight club but I had just come from another gay bar, not knowing we would end up at this 'nightclub' and then I was so incredibly offended and made to feel like crap before even entering the bar. Once I got in, I noticed there were plenty of other people wearing the same thing I was so I'm at a loss as to why the bouncer was so rude. Maybe if I wore his huge silver sneakers that looked like they were from outer space I would have faired much better. Overall, not a very welcoming place. The crowd might be beautiful and the tunes/dance floor quite hot, but the attitude certainly is not.

The last two reviews are ridiculous. The reason its such a hot party is because there is finally a gay club that edits the crowd. The best looking guys in New York pack this place every week.

Wouldn't have chosen to go to this self-adoring event in the first place, but a dear friend was having his going away party there. The doorman was incredibly rude in mocking my attire (which I hadn't been warned needed to be anything special). I complained to management who were COMPLETELY unhelpful and in fact, I received a strange message from the doorman on Facebook. Kind of creepy and definitely never going back (neither are my friends).

Hot guys, great bartenders and a couple ROCKIN djs but I had a bad time b/c I thought my friends stood me up. Turns out they just weren't allowed in cuz it was hot and they were wearing shorts (um, so was I... wtf??). No cell reception in the bar so I didn't get their texts or calls. Finally came upstairs to see where half my friends were and got their messages, so I took my money and spent it at the Ritz and danced till it closed with ALL my friends. The vibe is good but not worth the hassle.
So, what do you say?
