well yes unfriendly staff but hey...normal in new york, otherwise smelly, dirty, and definitaly over priced...but I saw a cutem latino gogo dancer cute enought to make you enjoy the moment....but make it as little as possible, the place does not deserve to waste your time.

Went on a Friday evening. From the bouncer to the bartenders, they were rude, unfriendly, and just plain obnoxious - nothing friendly, at all, about this place. The smell and the dirt just added to the "ambiance." Don't waste your money.

Had the same experience as others here. Very unfriendly bouncer refused to let me in because I didn't have a "drivers license or passport"! even though I'm clearly 40 years old. They must lose a lot of customers this way.

ok it's dark, but you can see well enough to count your change.
they are not overly freindly, but not rude either - it's new york.
the bartop, floor and bathrooms are clean enough. it smells a lot better than a fuck'n hospital.
the happy hour price for a draft beer was $5., not exactly a happy hour deal.
it's nothing to write home about, but it's not as bad as the other reviewers say.
i would stop in again for a drink.

Stopped in mid-afternoon, bright hot sunny day. When the curtains swung shut behind me, total darkness. Voices, low, vaguely audible. The smell of yesterday's beer, on the floor, wafted up. Very unpleasant, stumbling around feeling for a bar stool. Left before ordering a beer. But I suppose the utter anonymity is the purpose.
