What we say

With 40 Tonys, 141 Obies, 39 Drama Desktops, 23 Lucille Lortels and 4 Pulitzers how can you go wrong?
What's gay about the Public you say? Tony Kushner's Angels in America, Richard Greenberg's Take Me Out, and Sandra Bernhard at Joe's Pub come to mind. As the nation's foremost theatrical producer of Shakespeare and new work, The Public Theater is dedicated to achieving artistic excellence while developing an American theater that is accessible and relevant to all people through productions of challenging new plays, musicals and innovative stagings of the classics. Check out the Joe's Pub listing for specific info on their performance venue.

***** Should be better

The idea is great. But more varied artistic vision is needed. Pub can be intersting but a Terrible viewing and Very Uncomfortable setting. Submitted via GayCities iPhone application
